Wyandot Center—Wyandotte County’s Community Mental Health Center
Since our founding in 1953, Wyandot Center has served as the designated community mental health center for Wyandotte County. On an annual basis, the Center serves more than 11,000 individuals through our three clinical departments:
- Community Based Services (children, adolescents and families)
- Community Support Services (adults)
- Comprehensive Outpatient Services (persons of all ages)
Wyandot Center staff includes case managers, therapists, psychiatrists, nurses, attendant care workers and support staff—all committed to providing quality services. The Center has several bilingual staff in our clinical departments and at our varied locations.
The Center provides services based on a sliding fee scale for Wyandotte County residents only, according to family size and household income. HealthWave, Medicaid and Medicare are accepted, and the SED Waiver may be available for children who qualify. Health insurance also may cover a portion of expenses. Wyandot Center provides available services to persons regardless of race, color, religion, age, disability, gender or national origin.
